Los Alamos National Laboratory has released a whitepaper on how they used Puppet to automate Mac OS X configuration management. The paper includes a walkthrough of their decision to use Puppet and detailed technical steps of their installation and configuration process.

The part in the appendix with the cgi to clear certificates is perfect for a lab environment where machines are frequently being re-provisioned. In your kickstart %post simply call a wget to the certificate cleaner with the hostname and ta-da. One of my biggest headaches with using puppet in our lab is gone.
