Puppet Labs Helps Save the Internet, IPv6-style
In support of IPv6 Day, the Puppet Labs Operations team has added AAAA DNS records for our main website and our docs.
Over the last year, Operations here have been slowly rolling our IPv6 to some of our other front-facing production sites, including our YUM and APT package repositories, as well as the Puppet Forge and our Redmine bug tracker. We are committed to running IPv6 service and we plan to continue connecting more dots with v6. We don’t quite have it on our office wireless, but we hope to by the end of the year, and are pleased as punch to be making strides towards a fully operational dual-stack environment. We’d love to hear about strides you’re making towards the same goal. What have you done for IPv6?

Nice, but I can’t see the AAAA for the main website yet
berni@schleppi:~/tmp$ host -t aaaa http://www.puppetlabs.com
http://www.puppetlabs.com is an alias for puppetlabs.com.
berni@schleppi:~/tmp$ host -t aaaa puppetlabs.com
puppetlabs.com has no AAAA record
Yup, you’re totally right there. There’s always one that gets away isn’t there? (:
Thanks!
