Reductive Labs, Home of Puppet, Changes Name to Puppet Labs
New Name Aligns with Business Focus on Enabling the Growth of Puppet and Supporting the Puppet Community
Reductive Labs, the home of Puppet, the open source leader in data center automation, has announced that it has changed its name to Puppet Labs. This name better represents the focus of the company on guiding development of Puppet, supporting the large and growing Puppet community and delivering premium tools and services to enable broader deployments of Puppet in large enterprises.
“Our new name better reflects our company’s mission to enhance and expand Puppet and to grow and support the Puppet community,” said Luke Kanies, founder and CEO of Puppet Labs. “While our name and branding has changed, the core of what has made Puppet a success remains stronger than ever. From the beginning, our large and active community has set us apart from other tools in the market. We are committed to supporting and expanding that community with development, documentation, training, organization and services. Additionally, more companies than ever use Puppet to manage their most critical IT infrastructure. Puppet Labs will be there to make sure that they are successful.”
The new name coincides with the launch of the new Puppet Labs Web site at www.puppetlabs.com. The full migration of the Reductive Labs domain will take place over the coming months to ensure continuity with the large and active Puppet community.
