We are pleased to announce the new development branch of The Marionette Collective.

The 1.1.0 release is the first in a new series of development releases for early adopters and testers. Production users should use the recently released version 1.0.0.

During the course of the previous development cycle we had a lot of code contributions from the community that didn’t get included because it didn’t fit in with the scope of work, this first release is primarily focused on merging all this code. The major new features are:

  • Multiple libdirs are supported – thanks Richard Clamp and Dean Wilson
  • Logging is pluggable with Syslog support added – thanks Nicolas Szalay for the initial Syslog work
  • A new experimental ssh agent based security system – thanks Jordan Sissel
  • Fact matching in filters support <=, >=, <, >, !=, == and =~ – thanks Mike Pountney

There have also been a number of other changes some of which affects backward compatibility. Please see the Release Notes for full details and upgrade notes.

The release is available in our download section.
