Puneet Agarwal

True Ventures

Puneet Agarwal brings a strong mix of operating and venture capital experience to True Ventures and the companies he works with. At True, Puneet focuses on infrastructure and software applications specifically around cloud computing, open source, SaaS, and mobile. He currently sits on the board of LoopFuse, Puppet Labs and Urban Airship. Prior to joining True, Puneet was the VP of Product Management at Geodesic Information Systems, which specializes in mobile and Internet communication products. Puneet holds a BS with honors in Industrial Engineering, Stanford University; MS in Industrial Engineering, Stanford University and is a Mayfield Fellow, Stanford University.

Some of his investments include Tidal Software (acquired by Cisco), and XenSource (acquired by Citrix), Active Software (acquired by WebMethods), Audible, Inc. (public), Cable Services Group (public), Citrix Systems (public), Mobile Telecommunications Corporation(SkyTel) (public, acquired by MCI), ONI Systems (public, acquired by Ciena), VeriSign (public), and Volterra (public), Audible, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADBL), Cable Services Group (NASDAQ:CSGS), Global Village (NASDAQ:GVIL), Mobile Telecommunications Corporation (SkyTel) (NASDAQ:MTEL), ONI Systems (NASDAQ:ONIS), Volterra (NASDAQ:VLTR), and Active Software(acquired by WebMethods). Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, he was Vice President and General Manager of the Network Systems Team at Businessland (now Siemens). While in this role, the company’s sales increased from under $70 million to over $1.4 billion.

Matt Murphy

Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers

Matt Murphy is a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. He joined the firm in 1999 and manages the iFund, a collaborative initiative with Apple that focuses on funding and building defining applications on the iOS platform and the mobile internet. Matt’s expertise is in mobile solutions and cloud infrastructure technology. He is either a director or works closely with the management teams of Aerohive Networks, Apperian, AutoNavi, Booyah!, Egnyte, GOGII, RGB Networks, SessionM, Shazam, shopkick, Stoke and WorkSmart Labs. Previously, Matt was a board observer at Google (from initial investment to IPO) and led KPCB’s investment in AutoNavi (Nasdaq: AMAP, 2010). He also served as a director at Pelago (acquired by Groupon in 2011), Ocarina Networks (acquired by Dell in 2010), Dash Navigation (acquired by RIM in 2009) and Peakstream (acquired by Google in 2008).

Luke Kanies

Puppet Labs

Luke Kanies is the CEO and a founder of Puppet Labs, where he provides the vision and direction for the company as it builds next generation data center automation.  He is the original author of Puppet Labs’ primary product, Puppet.  Prior to Puppet Labs, he was a consultant, speaker, and author on topics related to configuration management and system administration.  Kanies received a BA in Chemistry from Reed College.

Kenny Van Zant

Kenny Van Zant was the SVP and Chief Product Strategist for SolarWinds (NYSE: SWI), where he helped pioneer the bottom-up model for selling software and SaaS into enterprises and SMBs. Previously, Kenny was EVP of Marketing and GM of Communications for Motive (NASD: MOTV), and the co-founder of BroadJump. Kenny has a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas.

Mike is a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Previously, he served as VP of Engineering at Twitter and SVP of Software and Services at Palm.

Bill Keyworth

Bill is a partner at GoToMarket, with demonstrated expertise in refocusing the marketing engines of an organization and turning product driven companies into market driven industry leaders. Leveraging over 25 years of marketing experience, Bill has a track record for pinpointing market differentiation, identifying market “sweet spots” and developing aggressive marketing strategies.

John Robb

John is Senior Director of Zimbra Products & Marketing at VMware. His prior professional experience includes Openwave, Chase, and AT&T.

Dave Rosenberg

Dave is CEO and founder of Nodeable, co-founder of Mulesoft, and previously held a wide range of technical and marketing positions. He is an adviser to DataStax, IT Database, and Puppet Labs.

Beth Steinberg

Beth Steinberg has over 18 years of human resource experience in both emerging and Fortune 500 companies. Beth is currently the Vice President of Human Resources at SunRun, a residential solar company based in San Francisco. In addition to being on the Board of Trustees at Hidden Villa, Beth also sits on the board of Social Venture Partners. Beth also sits on the Advisory Board of Rypple, recently acquired by Salesforce.com.

Glenn Winokur

Glenn is Managing Director of Emerson Street Partners, an advisory services and seed stage investment firm that helps entrepreneurs and VCs incubate new technology companies, as well as accelerate growth of existing ones.
